My home studio/gallery is in an historic structure built around 1916 by Harvey Doane Eaton. His speculation was that it would serve as the maintenance shop for the proposed "Skowhegan-Athens Railroad". I bought it in late 2000 and moved in the following spring. Since day one I have had people stopping in to take a look and tell me how many years they have been "drivin' by here" and how much the building has captured their attention and imagination. I know it certainly captured mine as a 10 year-old riding past on my bike.

In my mid-twenties, in the mid-seventies, I came to the realization that I am an artist and have immersed myself in my art since then. I am self-educated or, more accurately, self-educating. My primary inspirations are my native Maine and Ireland, which, since 2003, has become a kind of second home.

I make paintings, sculptures and poems from, respectively, oil paint, wood & found objects and slices o' life.
