Mary E. Burr
Although I have lived in Maine for most of my married life, I was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia. I received my Bachelors degree from the University of Maine at Farmington in Visual and Performing Arts with a major in the Fine Arts. I attended the Maine College of Art where I obtained the majority of my studio credits. I have been painting, drawing and carving for over 20 years inspired by the beautiful Maine rural landscape where I live as an active farmer. My work is a reflection of my life raising sheep, growing vegetables and working in the woods. I also sketch on a regular basis when my husband, Bob and I travel particularly in rural areas of the world. My work can be found in private collections in Australia, England, Italy, New York and Maine. I hope you too take time to enjoy it.
